In July 2020, 1,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Äänekoski Region (-32.5 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 170 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 55 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 32 percent from last year's July.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (79 nights).
1,000 nights (-31.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 720 nights (-34.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 7,000 registered bed nights (-29.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (+8.6 %) for foreigners in Äänekoski Region, in total 8,500 (-24.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
