Registered bed nights increased 41 percent

In February 2022, 60,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Agder (+40.8 %), of which 53,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 188 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's February.

22,200 nights (+56.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 14,100 nights (+20.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 86,100 registered bed nights (+22.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,100 (+91.9 %) for foreigners in Agder, in total 97,200 (+27.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Agder out of total registered bed nights was 3.4 % (-1.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

27,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 66 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.3 percent were domestic, and 10.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Agder on average 2.2 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.58).

Accommodation sales 24.9 million crowns

Registered accommodation sales in February were 24.9 million crowns (+9.6 million).

Registered January-February sales were 41.6 million crowns and they increased 13.3 million euro from the previous year.
