Registered bed nights increased 45 percent

In October 2021, 115,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Agder (+44.6 %), of which 106,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 72 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 45 percent from last year's October.

46,700 nights (+46.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 31,500 nights (+28.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 1.8 million registered bed nights (+15.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 96,600 (-21.0 %) for foreigners in Agder, in total 1.9 million (+12.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.9 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+57.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (+50.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 306,000 nights (+120.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Agder out of total registered bed nights was 4.9 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.2 % and foreign bed nights 2.9 %.

60,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Agder on average 1.9 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.35).

Registered accommodation sales in October were 48.3 million crowns (+14.6 million).

Registered January-October sales were 563.7 million crowns and they increased 102.0 million euro from the previous year.
