Registered bed nights increased 50 percent
In May 2021, 132,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Agder (+50.5 %), of which 129,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 51 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 46 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 50 percent from last year's May.
41,100 nights (+120.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 15,800 nights (+20.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 302,000 registered bed nights (+27.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,500 (-44.6 %) for foreigners in Agder, in total 317,000 (+19.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Agder, length of stay in May was on average 2.3 nights and in Norway 2.5 nights (-8.0 %).
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Agder on average 2.3 nights (+17.2 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+10.6 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 76 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.6 percent were domestic, and 2.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Agder on average 2.3 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.3).
