Registered bed nights increased 33 percent

In September 2020, 2,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Ähtäri (+32.8 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 16 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's September.

2,400 nights (+39.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 340 nights (+0.2 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 92,200 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ähtäri out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 16 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Ähtäri, length of stay in September was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+8.0 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ähtäri on average 1.6 nights (+2.6 %) and foreigners 1.1 nights .

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ähtäri on average 1.6 nights (+0.22) and foreigners 1.1 nights (-0.24).
