Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 65 percent

In March 2021, 1,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ähtäri (+65.5 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2.0 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 71 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 94 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 65 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Belgium (2.0 nights).

1,100 nights (+30.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 500 nights (+334.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,200 registered bed nights (-5.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 63 (-90.1 %) for foreigners in Ähtäri, in total 4,200 (-16.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 863,000 registered bed nights (-13.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 816,000 nights (+11.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 47,100 nights (-82.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ähtäri out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 16 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Ähtäri, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Finland 2.7 nights (+16.1 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ähtäri on average 2.0 nights (+17.3 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+27.9 %).

800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.9 percent were domestic, and 0.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ähtäri on average 2.0 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.3).
