13,700 registered bed nights
In October 2019, 13,700 bed nights were recorded in Åland (-9.1 %), of which 6,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,400 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased five percent and foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, bed nights decreased nine percent from last year's October.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (5,300 nights).
11,800 nights (-1.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,900 nights (-37.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and October, 165,000 bed nights (+2.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 218,000 (+0.0 %) for foreigners in Åland, in total 382,000 (+1.1 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 48.3 percent were domestic, and 51.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Åland on average 1.8 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.06).
