Registered bed nights increased six percent
In December 2019, 3,800 bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+5.6 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased 63 percent. In total, bed nights increased six percent from last year's December.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (410 nights).
1,400 rooms (+11.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-10.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 63,500 bed nights (-7.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 40,500 (+3.3 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 104,000 (-3.8 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
