Registered bed nights increased 132 percent

In December 2021, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+132.1 %), of which 2,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 410 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 145 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 77 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 132 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (158 nights).

690 rooms (+196.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+73.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 54,600 registered bed nights (+23.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,900 (+147.0 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 79,500 (+46.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 210 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.8 percent were domestic, and 12.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 1.7 nights (-0.45) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.9).
