Registered bed nights increased three percent

In September 2019, 8,500 bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+3.3 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased two percent and foreign bed nights increased 17 percent. In total, bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.

3,100 rooms (+179.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (-42.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 49,700 bed nights (-9.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,300 (+2.4 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 85,000 (-4.9 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,500 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 74.2 percent were domestic, and 25.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 1.8 nights (+0.07) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.71).
