Registered bed nights increased 100 percent

In May 2022, 9,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+99.9 %), of which 7,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 100 percent from last year's May.

1,600 rooms (+126.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,100 rooms (+205.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 16,300 registered bed nights (+45.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,600 (+266.6 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 20,900 (+67.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 138 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.2 percent were domestic, and 23.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 1.8 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-1.3).
