Registered bed nights increased five percent

In June 2019, 11,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+5.4 %), of which 6,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 35 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (3,000 nights).

3,100 rooms (+283.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (-55.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 30,100 registered bed nights (-8.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,800 (+2.5 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 41,900 (-5.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 60.0 percent were domestic, and 40.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 2.0 nights (-0.1) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.49).
