Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 106 percent

In June 2021, 7,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+105.5 %), of which 6,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 98 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 144 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 106 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,100 nights).

810 rooms (+41.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+42.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 17,400 registered bed nights (+8.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (-13.8 %) for foreigners in Älmhult, in total 20,100 (+5.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.9 million registered bed nights (+34.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.5 million nights (+31.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 455,000 nights (+76.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased 45 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 45 percent compared to earlier year. In Älmhult, length of stay in June was on average 4.8 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-5.5 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 4.2 nights (+19.1 %) and foreigners 14 nights (+181.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.4 percent were domestic, and 6.6 percent were from foreign countries.
