Paid bed nights

47,000 registered bed nights

In February 2023, 47,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (-1.6 %), of which 35,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 11,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's February.

10,800 rooms (-3.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+5.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 65,500 registered bed nights (-7.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,500 (+11.9 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 82,000 (-3.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älvdalen out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.5 %.

Length of stay was 4.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Älvdalen, length of stay in February was on average 4.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.1 nights (-2.7 %) and foreigners 5.3 nights (+2.8 %).

10,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.4 percent were domestic, and 19.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.1 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 5.3 nights (-0.16).
