Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In September 2021, 28,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (+22.2 %), of which 25,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's September.

7,100 rooms (-4.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+207.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 294,000 registered bed nights (+14.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,300 (-10.2 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 322,000 (+12.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älvdalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

10,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.0 percent were domestic, and 11.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 2.7 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.24).
