Registered bed nights increased 31 percent
In December 2021, 31,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (+31.1 %), of which 27,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's December.
7,200 rooms (+24.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+56.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 346,000 registered bed nights (+15.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 37,800 (+6.7 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 384,000 (+14.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.1 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 6.4 nights (+0.08).
