55,600 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 55,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (-55.3 %), of which 44,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 11,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 54 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 59 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 55 percent from last year's February.

12,900 rooms (-34.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-49.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 71,700 registered bed nights (-58.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,700 (-56.4 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 91,400 (-57.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älvdalen out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (-1.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay was 4.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 22 percent compared to earlier year. In Älvdalen, length of stay in February was on average 4.3 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.1 nights (-23.4 %) and foreigners 5.3 nights (-13.4 %).

12,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.9 percent were domestic, and 17.1 percent were from foreign countries.
