23,000 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 23,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (-20.8 %), of which 21,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 21 percent from last year's September.

7,400 rooms (+1.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-27.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 256,000 registered bed nights (-53.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 30,400 (-73.2 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 287,000 (-56.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älvdalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 23 percent compared to earlier year. In Älvdalen, length of stay in September was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 2.4 nights (-26.9 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+12.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.
