Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 186 percent

In April 2021, 20,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Älvdalen (+185.5 %), of which 20,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 188 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 84 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 186 percent from last year's April.

4,200 rooms (+248.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+134.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 130,000 registered bed nights (+14.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,500 (-81.9 %) for foreigners in Älvdalen, in total 134,000 (-3.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 219,000 nights (+91.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älvdalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 25 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Älvdalen, length of stay in April was on average 4.4 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+1.3 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.4 nights (+5.4 %) and foreigners 4.3 nights (+5.3 %).

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 128 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älvdalen on average 4.4 nights (+0.94) and foreigners 4.3 nights (-3.5).
