Alvesta: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 25 percent
In May 2022, 3,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Alvesta (+24.8 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 25 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (560 nights).
1,200 rooms (+61.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 970 rooms (-12.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 9,400 registered bed nights (+47.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (-24.6 %) for foreigners in Alvesta, in total 12,200 (+21.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 123 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.9 percent were domestic, and 22.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Alvesta on average 1.6 nights (-0.91) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-4.3).

Registered January-May sales were 6.2 million SEK and they increased 1.5 million SEK from the previous year.
