Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In March 2019, 1,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Alvesta (+3.6 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 250 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (63 nights).

290 rooms (+106.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 870 rooms (+8.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 3,300 registered bed nights (-11.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (+61.9 %) for foreigners in Alvesta, in total 4,500 (+1.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Alvesta out of total registered bed nights was 0.0 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Alvesta, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Alvesta on average 1.5 nights (-27.3 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+23.0 %).

950 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.3 percent were domestic, and 9.7 percent were from foreign countries.
