In August 2020, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Alvesta (-39.2 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 910 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 69 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 39 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (400 nights).
810 rooms (-23.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 290 rooms (-56.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 13,500 registered bed nights (-15.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,700 (-65.7 %) for foreigners in Alvesta, in total 17,200 (-35.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Alvesta, length of stay in August was on average 3.9 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Alvesta on average 3.4 nights (+23.9 %) and foreigners 6.3 nights (+0.7 %).
