Registered bed nights increased 27 percent

In May 2022, 25,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ängelholm (+27.0 %), of which 23,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 250 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's May.

4,900 rooms (+48.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (+123.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 57,700 registered bed nights (+36.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (+219.5 %) for foreigners in Ängelholm, in total 63,300 (+44.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ängelholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

13,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 45 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.8 percent were domestic, and 7.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ängelholm on average 1.9 nights (-0.27) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.22).
