Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2018, 12,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ängelholm (+8.9 %), of which 10,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

2,900 rooms (+21.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,200 rooms (+12.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 142,000 registered bed nights (+7.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,200 (+1.6 %) for foreigners in Ängelholm, in total 162,000 (+6.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.3 million nights (-1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (+2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ängelholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Ängelholm, length of stay in September was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (+0.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ängelholm on average 2.0 nights (-13.1 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-15.3 %).

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.2 percent were domestic, and 14.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ängelholm on average 2.0 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.95).
