Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In March 2019, 9,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Ängelholm (+21.6 %), of which 7,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 154 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's March.

2,500 rooms (+40.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,700 rooms (+33.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 21,500 registered bed nights (+31.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,700 (+103.8 %) for foreigners in Ängelholm, in total 25,200 (+38.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ängelholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Ängelholm, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ängelholm on average 1.9 nights (-5.2 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+29.3 %).

4,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.9 percent were domestic, and 12.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ängelholm on average 1.9 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+1.2).
