Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased five percent

In March 2023, 3,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Arboga (+5.0 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 83 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Finland (17 nights).

440 rooms (+29.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 590 rooms (+13.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 7,500 registered bed nights (-6.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 300 (-57.2 %) for foreigners in Arboga, in total 7,800 (-10.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arboga out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. In Arboga, length of stay in March was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arboga on average 2.4 nights (-45.6 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-63.4 %).

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 97 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arboga on average 2.4 nights (-2.2) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.36).
