Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 66 percent

In May 2020, 4,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Arboga (+66.0 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 132 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 83 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 54 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 66 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (72 nights).

132 rooms (-51.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 530 rooms (-28.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,300 registered bed nights (+21.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 470 (-46.7 %) for foreigners in Arboga, in total 12,800 (+16.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (-58.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (-49.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 176,000 nights (-86.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arboga out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 56 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 56 percent compared to earlier year. In Arboga, length of stay in May was on average 2.7 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+30.7 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arboga on average 2.6 nights (+5.0 %) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-25.7 %).

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arboga on average 2.6 nights (+1.0) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+0.57).
