Registered bed nights increased 330 percent

In May 2022, 15,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Årjäng (+333.9 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 115 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 820 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 330 percent from last year's May.

430 rooms (+22.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 870 rooms (+43.9 %) by business visitors.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Årjäng out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

7,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 460 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 32.4 percent were domestic, and 67.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Årjäng on average 2.3 nights (-0.17) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.9).
