Paid bed nights

25,600 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 25,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Årjäng (-52.8 %), of which 23,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 95 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 53 percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (1,100 nights).

590 rooms (-33.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 440 rooms (-40.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Årjäng out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Årjäng, length of stay in July was on average 3.2 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Årjäng on average 3.3 nights and foreigners 2.7 nights .

8,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 54 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.6 percent were domestic, and 8.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Årjäng on average 3.3 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.29).
