Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In February 2023, 22,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Arjeplog (+16.8 %), of which 7,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 15,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's February.

8,200 rooms (+142.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,800 rooms (-30.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 12,000 registered bed nights (+25.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,700 (+22.7 %) for foreigners in Arjeplog, in total 38,700 (+23.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arjeplog out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 2.1 %.

Length of stay was 4.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Arjeplog, length of stay in February was on average 4.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 4.4 nights (+9.8 %) and foreigners 4.8 nights (-9.2 %).

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 32.9 percent were domestic, and 67.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 4.4 nights (+0.47) and foreigners 4.8 nights (-0.82).

Registered January-February sales were 46.0 million crowns and they increased 13.5 million crowns from the previous year.
