Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In May 2022, 8,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Arjeplog (+49.0 %), of which 7,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (500 nights).

1,000 rooms (+325.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+16.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 39,400 registered bed nights (+8.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,800 (+157.7 %) for foreigners in Arjeplog, in total 74,200 (+48.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arjeplog out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 84 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.8 percent were domestic, and 15.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 2.7 nights (-0.6) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.52).
