Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In March 2019, 22,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Arjeplog (+7.0 %), of which 10,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased four percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's March.

4,000 rooms (-15.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,200 rooms (+9.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 23,200 registered bed nights (+14.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 32,700 (-7.3 %) for foreigners in Arjeplog, in total 55,900 (+0.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arjeplog out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 42 percent compared to earlier year. In Arjeplog, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 3.3 nights (-10.8 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-63.3 %).

11,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 85 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 28.4 percent were domestic, and 71.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 3.3 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-2.0).
