Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In September 2019, 9,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Arjeplog (+20.7 %), of which 6,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's September.

1,600 rooms (-14.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 760 rooms (+95.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 96,200 registered bed nights (+26.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 76,400 (+9.5 %) for foreigners in Arjeplog, in total 173,000 (+18.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arjeplog out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased 59 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 59 percent compared to earlier year. In Arjeplog, length of stay in September was on average 3.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 3.6 nights (+12.6 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-17.7 %).

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 63.0 percent were domestic, and 37.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 3.6 nights (+0.75) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+1.4).
