Paid bed nights

2,700 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 2,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Arjeplog (-69.1 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 101 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 64 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 69 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (37 nights).

210 rooms (-61.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 360 rooms (-57.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 36,700 registered bed nights (-14.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,700 (-16.1 %) for foreigners in Arjeplog, in total 68,400 (-15.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (-58.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (-49.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 176,000 nights (-86.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arjeplog out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 64 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 64 percent compared to earlier year. In Arjeplog, length of stay in May was on average 4.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+30.7 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 4.4 nights (+12.6 %) and foreigners 17 nights (+12.1 %).

580 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 81 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.0 percent were domestic, and 1.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arjeplog on average 4.4 nights (+1.7) and foreigners 17 nights (+14).
