Registered bed nights increased 30 percent

In December 2021, 3,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+30.4 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 620 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 30 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (300 nights).

670 rooms (+103.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+0.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 74,700 registered bed nights (+18.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,000 (+124.5 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 106,000 (+37.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.4 percent were domestic, and 14.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 1.7 nights (-0.42) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.65).
