Registered bed nights increased four percent
In December 2019, 3,500 bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+4.4 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 870 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased six percent and foreign bed nights increased 54 percent. In total, bed nights increased four percent from last year's December.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (450 nights).
750 rooms (+41.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (-14.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 71,400 bed nights (-9.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 61,800 (-4.1 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 133,000 (-7.1 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 78.2 percent were domestic, and 21.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 1.5 nights (-0.1) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.1).
