Registered bed nights increased 85 percent

In May 2022, 11,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+85.2 %), of which 6,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 470 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 85 percent from last year's May.

1,000 rooms (+79.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+119.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 22,000 registered bed nights (+24.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,700 (+367.4 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 32,700 (+63.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

6,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 139 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 64.7 percent were domestic, and 35.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 1.7 nights (-0.59) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.2).
