Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In February 2020, 6,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+0.9 %), of which 4,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's February.

700 rooms (+1.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+5.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 7,200 registered bed nights (-0.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-2.5 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 9,800 (-1.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Arvika, length of stay in February was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 2.1 nights (-0.1 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-17.4 %).

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.0 percent were domestic, and 20.0 percent were from foreign countries.
