Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In May 2021, 6,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+46.4 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 143 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's May.

570 rooms (+103.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+8.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 17,700 registered bed nights (+17.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,300 (-41.3 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 19,900 (+5.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Arvika, length of stay in May was on average 4.7 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 4.4 nights (+17.9 %) and foreigners 9.6 nights (+199.1 %).

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.6 percent were domestic, and 6.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 4.4 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 9.6 nights (+0.77).
