Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 160 percent

In April 2022, 8,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Arvika (+159.8 %), of which 4,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 71 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 780 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 160 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (2,500 nights).

960 rooms (+159.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+43.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 15,200 registered bed nights (+23.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,000 (+308.9 %) for foreigners in Arvika, in total 21,200 (+54.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Arvika out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Arvika, length of stay in April was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 2.2 nights (-17.8 %) and foreigners 5.1 nights (-68.8 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 140 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.4 percent were domestic, and 23.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Arvika on average 2.2 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 5.1 nights (-3.8).
