Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In September 2020, 2,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Åsele (+21.4 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 370 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (126 nights).

210 rooms (-25.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+120.2 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Åsele out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.8 percent were domestic, and 6.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Åsele on average 2.4 nights (-0.35) and foreigners 5.8 nights (+3.4).
