Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In September 2021, 3,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Åsele (+34.9 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 360 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's September.

125 rooms (-40.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+67.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Åsele out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 71.9 percent were domestic, and 28.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Åsele on average 3.0 nights (+0.6) and foreigners 6.7 nights (+0.89).
