Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 54 percent

In February 2023, 25,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Asker And Bærum (+54.4 %), of which 21,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 61 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 27 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 54 percent from last year's February.

7,000 nights (+43.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 12,000 nights (+31.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 41,000 registered bed nights (+83.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (+51.8 %) for foreigners in Asker And Bærum, in total 47,400 (+78.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.1 million registered bed nights (+18.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 577,000 nights (+23.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Asker And Bærum out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Asker And Bærum, length of stay in February was on average 1.6 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-9.6 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Asker And Bærum on average 1.6 nights (-10.7 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-15.0 %).

15,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 73 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Asker And Bærum on average 1.6 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.33).
