Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 630 percent

In March 2022, 39,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Asker And Bærum (+632.9 %), of which 32,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 560 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 630 percent from last year's March.

8,200 nights (+582.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 15,900 nights (+347.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 55,000 registered bed nights (+254.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,400 (+743.0 %) for foreigners in Asker And Bærum, in total 66,400 (+294.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+142.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+110.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 507,000 nights (+443.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Asker And Bærum out of total registered bed nights was 1.7 % (+1.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Asker And Bærum, length of stay in March was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Asker And Bærum on average 1.8 nights (-6.6 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-8.6 %).

20,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 550 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.8 percent were domestic, and 13.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Asker And Bærum on average 1.8 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.02).
