8,900 registered bed nights

In May 2022, 8,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Askersund (-6.5 %), of which 8,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 210 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 580 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's May.

740 rooms (+84.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+17.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 16,200 registered bed nights (+7.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 370 (+45.9 %) for foreigners in Askersund, in total 16,600 (+7.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Askersund out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.2 percent were domestic, and 2.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Askersund on average 2.0 nights (-0.33) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.43).
