Registered bed nights increased 139 percent

In April 2021, 2,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Avesta (+139.4 %), of which 890 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 3,900 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 139 percent from last year's April.

98 rooms (+60.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+146.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 4,100 registered bed nights (-25.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,600 (+449.6 %) for foreigners in Avesta, in total 8,700 (+37.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Avesta out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

440 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.1 percent were domestic, and 21.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Avesta on average 2.6 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 14 nights (+11).
