1,300 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 1,300 bed nights were recorded in Avesta (-50.9 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 159 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 49 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 62 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 51 percent from last year's March.

118 rooms (-70.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-43.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,600 bed nights (-29.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 800 (-28.7 %) for foreigners in Avesta, in total 5,400 (-29.4 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Avesta out of total bed nights was 0.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

730 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 86.8 percent were domestic, and 13.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Avesta on average 1.9 nights (+0.09) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.32).
