2,900 registered bed nights

In September 2021, 2,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Avesta (-11.9 %), of which 2,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 770 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 12 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (200 nights).

210 rooms (+17.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-38.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 17,200 registered bed nights (-18.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,900 (+228.9 %) for foreigners in Avesta, in total 27,100 (+13.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Avesta out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.9 percent were domestic, and 25.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Avesta on average 1.8 nights (-0.41) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.81).
