Registered bed nights increased 33 percent

In September 2019, 3,100 bed nights were recorded in Avesta (+33.1 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 550 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and foreign bed nights increased 70 percent. In total, bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's September.

450 rooms (+166.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+20.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 23,200 bed nights (+8.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,100 (+39.0 %) for foreigners in Avesta, in total 30,300 (+14.5 %) nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Avesta out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 86.7 percent were domestic, and 13.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Avesta on average 1.8 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.93).

Registered January-September sales were 19.3 million SEK and they increased 2.3 million euro from the previous year.
