5,600 registered bed nights

In December 2020, 5,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (-32.1 %), of which 5,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 63 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 32 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (44 nights).

2,300 rooms (-7.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 270 rooms (-84.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 303,000 registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,800 (-80.1 %) for foreigners in Båstad, in total 311,000 (-4.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (-47.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.6 million nights (-41.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 230,000 nights (-70.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

4,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.1 percent were domestic, and 0.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.3 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.06).
