Registered bed nights increased 59 percent

In February 2022, 14,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+59.1 %), of which 13,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 610 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 4,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 59 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (570 nights).

5,100 rooms (+49.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 870 rooms (+173.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 24,400 registered bed nights (+54.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 920 (+4,285.7 %) for foreigners in Båstad, in total 25,300 (+59.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+11.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-2.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 577,000 nights (+162.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

9,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.5 percent were domestic, and 3.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.5 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.23).
