Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In January 2020, 10,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+30.6 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 480 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's January.

2,200 rooms (+18.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,500 rooms (-15.3 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 797,000 nights (-0.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Båstad, length of stay in January was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.5 nights and foreigners 2.4 nights .
