Paid bed nights

39,200 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 39,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (-15.2 %), of which 38,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 680 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 90 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 15 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (460 nights).

5,800 rooms (-20.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (-73.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 103,000 registered bed nights (-9.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-80.2 %) for foreigners in Båstad, in total 105,000 (-17.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 259,000 nights (-87.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (+0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 3.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Båstad, length of stay in June was on average 3.9 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+13.0 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 3.8 nights (+12.2 %) and foreigners 8.2 nights (-5.8 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.
