Registered bed nights increased 41 percent

In October 2020, 20,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+41.5 %), of which 19,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 880 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 56 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 41 percent from last year's October.

7,200 rooms (+95.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (-53.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 292,000 registered bed nights (+8.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,600 (-79.5 %) for foreigners in Båstad, in total 300,000 (-2.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-23.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-15.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 450,000 nights (-51.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Båstad, length of stay in October was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+7.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.5 nights (+4.3 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-8.8 %).

13,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.4 percent were domestic, and 3.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.5 nights (+0.16) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.28).
