Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In June 2021, 47,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+20.0 %), of which 46,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 760 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (350 nights).

8,600 rooms (+47.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+154.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 123,000 registered bed nights (+19.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,200 (-53.2 %) for foreigners in Båstad, in total 124,000 (+17.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.9 million registered bed nights (+34.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.5 million nights (+31.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 455,000 nights (+76.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 3.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Båstad, length of stay in June was on average 3.2 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-5.5 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 3.1 nights (-9.5 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+42.3 %).

14,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 3.1 nights (-0.69) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-4.2).
