Registered bed nights increased 48 percent

In January 2022, 10,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+48.3 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 310 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 4,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 48 percent from last year's January.

3,700 rooms (+50.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 660 rooms (+246.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (-4.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 399,000 nights (+105.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Båstad, length of stay in January was on average 1.3 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-36.1 %).
