Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased five percent

In June 2019, 8,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Berg (+4.8 %), of which 6,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (1,100 nights).

800 rooms (+669.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 280 rooms (+157.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 44,500 registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (+8.5 %) for foreigners in Berg, in total 50,100 (+2.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Berg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Berg, length of stay in June was on average 2.3 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 2.5 nights (+21.1 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-12.7 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 66.4 percent were domestic, and 33.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 2.5 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.08).
