Registered bed nights increased 11 percent

In January 2020, 8,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Berg (+10.6 %), of which 8,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 690 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's January.

1,900 rooms (+107.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+65.9 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 797,000 nights (-0.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Berg out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 3.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Berg, length of stay in January was on average 3.2 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).
