Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 15 percent

In February 2020, 11,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Berg (+14.8 %), of which 10,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 15 percent from last year's February.

2,900 rooms (+71.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 600 rooms (+7.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 18,900 registered bed nights (+13.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (+12.9 %) for foreigners in Berg, in total 20,700 (+13.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Berg out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 33 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 33 percent compared to earlier year. In Berg, length of stay in February was on average 4.2 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 4.2 nights (+12.9 %) and foreigners 3.8 nights (-5.7 %).

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.4 percent were domestic, and 10.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 4.2 nights (+1.1) and foreigners 3.8 nights (-0.02).
