Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In March 2021, 13,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Berg (+29.0 %), of which 13,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 138 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 81 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (70 nights).

3,200 rooms (+13.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 250 rooms (-50.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 34,800 registered bed nights (+22.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 500 (-80.5 %) for foreigners in Berg, in total 35,300 (+14.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Berg out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 23 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. In Berg, length of stay in March was on average 3.6 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 3.6 nights (+1.3 %) and foreigners 8.6 nights (+354.5 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.6 percent were domestic, and 0.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Berg on average 3.6 nights (+0.64) and foreigners 8.6 nights (+5.7).
