Registered bed nights increased 82 percent
In May 2021, 90,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Bergen Region (+82.3 %), of which 72,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 18,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 69 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 164 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 82 percent from last year's May.
32,500 nights (+155.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 39,600 nights (+54.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 255,000 registered bed nights (-22.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 73,500 (-20.8 %) for foreigners in Bergen Region, in total 328,000 (-22.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Bergen Region, length of stay in May was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.5 nights (-8.0 %).
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bergen Region on average 2.0 nights (+28.8 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+99.5 %).
41,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.1 percent were domestic, and 10.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bergen Region on average 2.0 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+0.27).
