44,400 registered bed nights

In October 2020, 44,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Blekinge County (-6.6 %), of which 35,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 21 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's October.

8,800 rooms (+30.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 11,700 rooms (-34.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 687,000 registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 79,700 (-67.4 %) for foreigners in Blekinge County, in total 767,000 (-19.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-23.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-15.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 450,000 nights (-51.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Blekinge County out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Blekinge County, length of stay in October was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+7.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 1.8 nights (+4.5 %) and foreigners 5.3 nights (+5.6 %).

21,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.0 percent were domestic, and 8.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 1.8 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 5.3 nights (+0.03).
