Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In June 2021, 110,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Blekinge County (+22.4 %), of which 97,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 117 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's June.

10,200 rooms (+16.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 12,800 rooms (+52.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 250,000 registered bed nights (+7.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,000 (+61.7 %) for foreigners in Blekinge County, in total 278,000 (+11.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.2 percent

Total of 4.9 million registered bed nights (+34.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.5 million nights (+31.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 455,000 nights (+76.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Blekinge County out of total registered bed nights was 2.2 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 2.7 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Blekinge County, length of stay in June was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-5.5 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 2.4 nights (+4.7 %) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+10.1 %).

43,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.5 percent were domestic, and 8.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 2.4 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-0.74).
