Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 56 percent

In November 2021, 41,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Blekinge County (+56.0 %), of which 32,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 199 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 56 percent from last year's November.

11,500 rooms (+104.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 14,500 rooms (+29.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 758,000 registered bed nights (+6.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 173,000 (+109.4 %) for foreigners in Blekinge County, in total 931,000 (+17.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (+134.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+133.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 575,000 nights (+145.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Blekinge County out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Blekinge County, length of stay in November was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-21.7 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 1.8 nights (+3.7 %) and foreigners 4.5 nights (-2.4 %).

19,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 74 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.7 percent were domestic, and 9.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Blekinge County on average 1.8 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+1.1).
